The Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a collaborative program of Family & Children’s Service and the Lynn Coordinated Family & Community Engagement (CFCE) Program, which offers a two-generational approach to a variety of parent-child activities, groups, and enrichment events. The program offers family support services that nurture, support and educate children, parents, families and early childhood professionals. Family Advocates and early childhood educators staff the FRC, lead and coordinate activities, and connect parents to important resources in the community. The FRC is a fun and welcoming place for parents and children to learn and grow together.

Support Groups - We offer multiple support groups for parents in English, Spanish, and Khmer, which help combat social isolation, connect parents to community resources, and emphasize peer learning and peer leadership.
Developmental Screenings - FRC staff carry out the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and the Ages & Stages Questionnaire - Social Emotional (ASQ/SE) for all families with young children.
Community Referrals & Service Linkages - With the information and insights obtained through FRC service activities, we make referrals to additional services families may need, including our home visiting and case management programs.
Early Childhood Activities - Children in preschool are engaged in educational activities that promote healthy development and learning experiences while their parents attend groups and workshops at the FRC. Due to the COVID pandemic, these activities have been delayed programming has been virtual.
