Position: Family Alliance Clinician

Family & Children’s Service has an opening for a Family Stabilization Clinician. The Clinician is a valuable member of our Family Stabilization Team.   The Clinician provides home based and community based services in order to support our mission of strengthening families. Our mission is to strengthen the life skills of families, children and individuals of all ages through the development of a range of programs offered directly or in collaboration with other organizations in our community.

Family Alliance Clinician Responsibilities:

  • Provide in home counseling at least once weekly.
  • Maintains a caseload of 10-14 families.
  • Participate in weekly group clinical supervision/treatment meeting.
  • Participate in weekly individual supervision with clinical supervisor.
  • Conduct psycho-social assessment.
  • Work towards goals for family as stated by DCF and Family Networks.
  • Make appropriate referrals for families.
  • Responds to family needs with additional visits, more if the family is in crisis.
  • Attend family meetings and maintain weekly contact with DCF and Family Networks.
  • Completes all required electronic paperwork including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Participate in activities in an effort to promote Family Alliance at local DCF offices.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
  • Flexibility to meet clients’ needs.

Other responsibilities:

  • Co-facilitate The Right Moves asset building groups in local elementary schools or community settings.
  • Attend Agency staff meetings as required.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of program needs assessment and program design process, when required.
  • Additional tasks to support program goals as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:  Licensed (or license eligible), MSW or Masters Level Clinician with a degree in the related human service field.  Prior experience working with at-risk population.  Applicants should have experience conducting home visits with complex family dynamics and resistant clients.
